How it Works

If you are travelling abroad for either Dental treatment, Cosmetic surgery, Elective surgery or IVF/Fertility treatment and you have travel insurance, you should check the policy you have to ensure adequate cover is provided. Should your policy not provide cover if you are travelling overseas for the sole purpose of receiving medical treatment then Medical Travel Shield Australia may be the solution you are looking for.

The application process is simple, just complete the online application to receive a quote and purchase cover immediately. You can apply here.

Cover for cancellation of your trip will start from the date of issue or the day you pay for your trip, whichever is the later.

The benefits included are outlined in more detail in the policy wording which can be found here. The level of cover provided under each benefit is stated in your quotation document.

The insurance does not cover any travel to or through any country which is listed as an excluded territory. A list of these territories can be found in the General Definitions of the Policy Wording here.

Should you need emergency assistance or need to make a claim, please refer to the Make a Claim page or the How to Make a Claim section of the Policy Wording.
